Projectile strikes near Bushehr nuclear power plant

A projectile impacted near the perimeter of the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran, resulting in the death of one security staff member. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed via satellite analysis that the strike occurred approximately 75 meters from the facility's perimeter. While the agency and Iranian officials state the main nuclear infrastructure remains undamaged and power production is unaffected, one building sustained minor impact damage from debris and shockwaves. In response to the escalating situation, the Russian state corporation Rosatom evacuated an additional 198 personnel from the site, a move described by head Alexey Likhachev as part of a pre-planned withdrawal. Iranian military officials reported that the facility's safety systems were tested under difficult conditions.
