Nea Salamina awarded Cyprus Second Division championship title

On April 4, 2026, Nea Salamina officially received the Cyprus Second Division championship trophy at the Ammochostos Stadium. The team celebrated the award following a 3-0 victory against Ayia Napa. Goals were scored by Christodoulou in the 23rd minute and Balde in the 29th and 70th minutes. Captain Andreas Fragkos and club president Paris Andreou lifted the trophy together. This victory marked the club's 23rd win in 27 matches, leaving them with 73 points and an undefeated record for the season. The team had secured promotion and the title two months prior to the final matches. Nea Salamina has two remaining games against Karmiotissa on April 18 and ASIL on April 25 to complete the season.
