Cyprus international film festival announces short film competition deadline extension
The Cyprus International Film Festival 2026 is hosting a short film competition for students and young people. Due to high interest, the submission deadline has been extended to April 6, 2026. The competition is open to primary school (second cycle), middle school, and high school students, as well as individuals up to 24 years old. Participants can submit entries individually or as part of a group. This year's theme focuses on expressions of identity, action, and acts of courage in daily life. A seven-member jury led by casting director Stavros Raptis will evaluate the films, with other members including Minos Papas, Anna Fotiadou, Athos Antoniou, Margarita Zachariou, Andreas Tselepos, and Giannis Antonas. Award-winning entries will be screened during the festival.
