Recent series of vehicle arson incidents reported across Cyprus

Several incidents of vehicle fires were reported across Cyprus over the past few days. On Monday morning at approximately 04:15, a car belonging to a 31-year-old man was destroyed by fire outside his home in Paphos; the Paphos CID is currently investigating. In a separate event, a vehicle owned by a 30-year-old man was set on fire in Aradippou shortly before 04:00 on Sunday, April 5, with the Larnaca CID leading the investigation. Additionally, on the night of Friday, April 3, two cars belonging to a 48-year-old owner were severely damaged in Nicosia. Police investigation into the Nicosia incident confirmed that the fire was set maliciously. Authorities have cordoned off the scenes in each location to conduct forensic examinations. Investigations into the exact causes of the fires in Paphos and Aradippou are ongoing to determine if these incidents were intentional.
