Cyprus and US officials hold roundtable on technological cooperation
A roundtable discussion took place at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia to address the strengthening of technological cooperation between Cyprus and the United States. The meeting was attended by representatives of US technology companies operating in Cyprus, officials from the US Embassy, and key Cypriot government figures. Participants included Deputy Minister to the President Irene Piki, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Nikodimos Damianou, and Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology Demetris Skourides. The agenda focused on enhancing the Cypriot technology ecosystem and improving public-private sector synergy. Irene Piki highlighted that the relationship between the two nations is grounded in mutual values and interests. The discussion served as a platform for stakeholders to exchange views on how to further develop these professional ties. The government identified the technology sector as a strategic priority for national growth.
