Mircea Lucescu hospitalized in critical condition

His condition worsened late Sunday due to persistent heart arrhythmias that became unresponsive to medication, leading to his transfer to the intensive care unit. His son, Răzvan Lucescu, the coach of PAOK, traveled to Bucharest to be by his side following his team's match against Panathinaikos. While recent reports from hospital authorities mentioned a positive trend, the most recent update confirmed his status remains critical. The Romanian Football Federation recently announced that Lucescu will step down as head coach of the national team.
