Journalist Makarios Drousiotis publishes allegations of financial misconduct

Journalist and author Makarios Drousiotis has released new evidence regarding alleged financial misconduct involving former Supreme Court judge Michalis Christodoulou. Before his scheduled testimony at police headquarters, Drousiotis posted images on social media claiming to show a shared bank account from 2019 between Christodoulou and a woman referred to as Kyriaki or Sandy. The evidence includes allegations of a 275,000 euro transfer through a commercial company and photographs of a suitcase containing cash with a handwritten note labeled 'Sandy, 250,000, from Michalis'. Drousiotis claims these documents refute assertions by opposing parties that his evidence is falsified. Previously, Christodoulou acknowledged knowing the woman but stated their acquaintance began in 2020. Media reports indicate that certain individuals mentioned in the allegations intend to file police complaints against Drousiotis and have requested his mandatory psychiatric evaluation. Drousiotis maintains that his materials are authentic and sufficient to support his public claims, emphasizing that his role is to expose information for authorities to investigate.
