Cyprus parliamentary election opinion poll findings
The RIK channel released the fourth political culture and electoral behavior survey conducted by MRC Cypronetwork between March 10 and 26. The study included a sample of 1,402 adults across Cyprus and suggests a tight race between DISY and AKEL, both polling at 18%. ELAM follows at 11.5%, while DIKO and ALMA are both at 7.5%, and Amesi Dimokratia holds 5.5%. Volt, EDEK, and the Ecologists Movement are each polling at 2.5%, with some sources noting a struggle for these parties to meet the parliamentary threshold. Other smaller parties, including DIPA and the Hunters Movement, recorded 1%. The survey indicates 7% of respondents remain undecided, while 86% expressed a high intention to participate in the May 24 elections. Additionally, the poll revealed that 56% of participants believe British military bases should leave Cyprus, though opinions differ significantly by party affiliation. The survey also explored public views on regional war impacts and economic management.
