Cyprus announces the Thymeli theater funding scheme for the second half of 2026

The Department of Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus has announced the launch of the Thymeli funding scheme for the second half of 2026. The objective of the initiative is to support high-quality theatrical productions by funding both existing works and new interpretative approaches. Eligible applicants include professional theater groups based in Cyprus that are registered as non-profit organizations or associations, including newly established companies. Applicants may submit up to two proposals per semester, one of which may focus on children's or youth theater. Successful productions must premiere between July 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027. Each approved production is required to hold a minimum of 12 performances, while newly established groups must hold at least 10. The application deadline is Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 14:00. Applications must be submitted through the digital platform at grants4arts.cy, which opens on April 7, 2026.
