AEL takes lead in futsal championship semifinals

The futsal championship semifinals began with a match between AEL and Ararat held at the Nikos Solomonidis arena in Limassol. AEL secured a 6-2 victory against Ararat, with goals from Kantzos (2), Skarparis (2), Sokratous, and Krekos for the hosts, and Nalbandian and Dragatakis for the visitors. The series is played as a best-of-three format, requiring two wins to qualify for the final. The second legs for both semifinal pairings are scheduled for April 20. The second semifinal matchup features Omonia against APOEL, with their first leg taking place on April 3 at the Tasos Papadopoulos-Eleftheria stadium.
