Celestyal cancels April 2026 cruises due to Middle East situation
Cruise operator Celestyal has cancelled all departures scheduled for April 2026, citing the ongoing security situation in the Middle East. The fleet's two vessels, Celestyal Discovery and Celestyal Journey, are currently stationed in Dubai, UAE, and Doha, Qatar, respectively. While the ships remain fully operational, all passengers and non-operational crew members have been disembarked. The company plans to reposition its fleet to the Mediterranean once safety conditions allow, following guidance from relevant authorities. Resumption of service is currently scheduled for May 2026, with the Celestyal Discovery departing on 1 May and the Celestyal Journey on 2 May. Impacted passengers have been offered the choice of a full refund or future cruise credit. Affected customers can seek further assistance via the company's official website or by calling 211 1995176.
