AEK Athens defeats Joventut Badalona in BCL quarter-final first leg

In the first game of the BCL quarter-finals, AEK Athens defeated Joventut Badalona with a score of 87-84 at the SUNEL Arena. Joventut Badalona held an early lead of up to 13 points in the first half, but AEK recovered in the third quarter through improved defensive play. Frank Bartley led AEK with 23 points and 4 rebounds, while James Nunnally added 19 points, including 13 in the final quarter. For the visiting team, Hunt recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds. AEK now leads the best-of-three series 1-0. The second game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at the home court of Joventut Badalona.
