Iran and allies launch massive missile and drone attacks on Israel

Between April 1 and April 3, 2026, Iran, Hezbollah, and Houthi forces launched coordinated missile and drone attacks against Israel. According to Israeli military reports, at least 10 to 11 ballistic missiles targeted central Israel, including Tel Aviv and Petah Tikva, while additional strikes occurred in the north and near the Dead Sea. Rescue services reported 14 injuries, including an 11-year-old girl in serious condition. Reports from Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates also indicated interceptions of missiles and drones in their respective airspaces during the same period. While the IDF stated that most projectiles were intercepted, some caused damage to residential and industrial areas in Petah Tikva and Shafa’amr. Iranian media claimed the strikes reached Haifa and targeted military installations, describing the action as a response to regional developments. Israeli forces responded with strikes against targets in Tehran and various locations in Lebanon. Tensions escalated during the lead-up to the Jewish Passover, forcing millions of civilians into shelters.
