Escalation in Lebanon despite US-Iran ceasefire agreement

Following a two-week ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran brokered by Pakistan, military operations have continued unabated in Lebanon. Israel maintains that the ceasefire does not apply to the Lebanese front or the Hezbollah organization, a stance disputed by Pakistan and Hezbollah. Over the past 24 hours, Israel conducted its most intense aerial bombardment campaign since the conflict began on February 28, resulting in over 250 reported deaths and more than 1,100 injuries.
