Two men convicted in Ioanna Touni revenge porn case

The Three-Member Court of Appeals for Felonies in Thessaloniki has convicted two men in a revenge porn case involving social media personality Ioanna Touni. The defendants included Touni's former partner, who appeared in the 2017 video, and the individual accused of recording it without her consent. The video was subsequently distributed to third parties and uploaded to pornographic websites. The court sentenced the former partner to four years of imprisonment without mitigating circumstances. The second defendant received a three-year sentence, with the court recognizing his prior law-abiding life as a mitigating factor. Both sentences carry a three-year suspension, and the defendants remain at liberty pending appeal. Touni expressed relief following the verdict, stating she hopes it sends a strong message to other women about seeking justice. Defense lawyers maintained that their clients remain innocent and intend to challenge the verdict in the next court instance.
