Two convicted in Ioanna Touni revenge porn case

The Thessaloniki Three-Member Criminal Court of Appeals has found two men guilty of violating personal data with the intent to cause harm in a revenge porn case involving influencer Ioanna Touni. The court proceedings, which concluded after nearly nine years, centered on a 2017 video recorded without the victim's consent and subsequently distributed online. The defendant depicted in the video received a four-year prison sentence without mitigating circumstances. The second defendant, who reportedly filmed the material, was sentenced to three years in prison with the recognition of a mitigating factor for a previous law-abiding life. Both sentences are suspended, and the defendants have remained free pending appeal. Defense lawyers for the convicted men have confirmed that an appeal has been filed, as their clients continue to maintain their innocence. Ioanna Touni expressed relief and vindication regarding the court's decision during public statements outside the courthouse. Several public figures, including her former partner Dimitris Alexandrou, have publicly supported her following the verdict.
