Liquor store in Germasogeia targeted by gunfire

On Tuesday, March 31, at approximately 4:15 a.m., an unidentified perpetrator on a motorcycle fired 16 shots at a liquor store in Germasogeia, owned by a 40-year-old Russian businessman. The shooting caused damage to the premises, including the store's glass entrance door. Authorities believe the assailant acted alone. This incident marks the fourth attack against the same businessman within the past few months. Previous attacks included an arson incident at the same store in December, a bombing targeting his restaurant in the Kastro area of Limassol on March 24, and the destruction of his luxury vehicles by fire in November. Regarding the restaurant bombing, two suspects have been arrested and committed to trial at the Assize Court, while arrests were also made in connection with the November vehicle arson case. Police investigations into the recent shooting are ongoing.
