Charalambos Kyriakides expected to start for Omonia against Pafos FC

Omonia faces a significant goalkeeper crisis ahead of the 28th league round match against Pafos FC on April 4, 2026. Primary goalkeeper Fabiano has been sidelined for approximately a month and a half, while Francis Uzoho suffered a suspected muscle injury during a friendly match between Nigeria and Jordan. Consequently, 27-year-old Charalambos Kyriakides is expected to start for the first time in the league this season at the GSP Stadium. Omonia currently boasts a strong home record, having collected 33 out of 39 points at their home ground during the first phase of the league. The technical staff is awaiting further medical evaluations for both Uzoho and Stevan Jovetic, who also sustained an injury while playing for Montenegro. Kyriakides has limited appearances this season but played in a 2-1 cup victory against AEK. Club officials note that Omonia has not lost a competitive match with Kyriakides on the field.
