Public Works Department announces road construction updates in Nicosia, Limassol, and Larnaca
The Public Works Department has announced that starting Monday, April 6, at 12:00, four lanes will open on Tseriou Avenue in Nicosia, stretching from the Tseriou-Ippokratous roundabout to near Theofilou Georgiadi street. The remaining section of Tseriou Avenue towards the Pefkou roundabout and the Nicosia perimeter highway will maintain two-way traffic, while the area remains an active construction site. In Limassol, asphalt works are scheduled for Nikou and Despinas Pattichi Avenue on March 31 and April 2, from 21:00 to 06:00, where the western section will close with traffic diverted to the eastern side. Additionally, maintenance on Agias Zonis, Platonos, and the junction with Archbishop Makarios III Avenue is planned, with traffic redirection through nearby streets. Lane-marking on the A1 motorway near Moni will cause closure of both lanes towards Limassol on Monday night, with traffic rerouted via the B1 road. In the Larnaca district, the old Larnaca–Nicosia road near Kosi will undergo maintenance from March 30 to April 2, while construction on Akropoleos Avenue will continue until April 20, restricting traffic to one lane in each direction.
