EOKA struggle museum to open on April 1

The Museum of the EOKA Struggle, located at Archbishop Kyprianos Square in Nicosia, will be open to the public on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. This opening coincides with the anniversary of the launch of the 1955–1959 anti-colonial uprising. The museum will welcome visitors between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Admission to the facility is free of charge. The exhibition features original historical materials, including leaflets, letters, weapons, and personal items belonging to fighters. Rare photographs documenting the daily life and underground activities of the campaign participants are also on display. According to the Deputy Ministry of Culture, the exhibition aims to promote historical awareness and preserve collective memory. This initiative provides the public with direct access to records and artifacts from the period of the conflict.
