Bank of Cyprus hosts cybersecurity initiative for students in Limassol

On Tuesday, the Bank of Cyprus hosted 60 secondary school students from Limassol for a cybersecurity educational event. The initiative was part of the bank's 'The Young Ask and Provide Solutions' programme. Held at the bank's Limassol regional offices, the event focused on the protection of critical infrastructure from cyberattacks. Participants engaged in simulations to test their ability to prevent and respond to digital threats. The project was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the non-profit association TechIsland, and the KIOS Centre of Excellence at the University of Cyprus. SupportCY, the bank’s volunteer platform, facilitated the session. Students worked in groups to discuss preventive measures and resilience strategies against real-world cyber scenarios.
