Police in Paphos and Nicosia make arrests for separate burglary cases

In Paphos, police arrested four individuals aged 16, 24, 25, and 30 following a search of a residence on March 29, 2026. The suspects are being investigated for conspiracy to commit a felony, burglary, and theft, after stolen items from a construction site and a house were recovered. Additionally, a 25-year-old was found in possession of 0.2 grams of a substance resembling methamphetamine and suspected burglary tools. All four suspects were remanded in custody by the Paphos District Court for five days. Meanwhile, in Nicosia, authorities arrested two minors, aged 15 and 17, for four burglary and theft incidents occurring between March 29 and 31, 2026. These incidents involved two shops, a restaurant, and an attempted burglary at a supermarket. Stolen goods and cash exceeded 1,500 euros, with property damages estimated at over 800 euros. The two minors are appearing before the Nicosia District Court for detention orders.
