Gulf allies urge United States to continue military operations against Iran

According to reports citing officials from the United States, Gulf countries, and Israel, allies including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain are pressuring the Trump administration to sustain military operations against Iran. Following thirty days of bombing, these nations argue that the current situation represents a historic opportunity to destabilize Tehran's leadership. Officials from these countries have privately stated that they do not want the conflict to end until significant changes in Iranian behavior or leadership are achieved, including the neutralization of its nuclear and ballistic capabilities and the cessation of support for regional armed groups. While the United Arab Emirates has reportedly advocated for a ground invasion, Oman and Qatar remain in favor of a diplomatic resolution. President Donald Trump is currently weighing the prospect of further escalation against the possibility of a negotiated settlement with the Iranian leadership.
