Shipping deputy minister reaffirms commitment to restarting Cyprus negotiations

On Sunday, Marina Hatzimanoli, the Deputy Minister of Shipping, attended a commemorative event in Pyrgos, Limassol. The event honored the Greek national anniversaries of March 25 and April 1. During her address, Hatzimanoli emphasized that the government remains focused on restarting negotiations to reach a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus problem, despite existing challenges. She highlighted that history serves as a guiding force for future generations regarding national values. The minister described the current state of Cyprus as an occupied EU member state that still deals with the consequences of division, including the presence of refugees and missing persons. She asserted that the state seeks freedom, security, and adherence to international law. Hatzimanoli called for unity and collective responsibility to achieve the vision of a free and reunified homeland.
