Olympiacos defeats Panathinaikos to secure top seed in Stoiximan GBL
Olympiacos secured a 101-94 victory over Panathinaikos at the Telekom Center Athens during the 23rd round of the Stoiximan GBL, clinching the first position in the regular season standings. The match featured significant tension, particularly at the end of the first half, when a physical altercation occurred between Tyler Dorsey and Kendrick Nunn, resulting in the ejection of both players. Mathias Lessort also received an unsportsmanlike foul during the incident. Panathinaikos played with several key absences, including Grant, Rogkavopoulos, Hernangomez, and Hayes-Davis. Olympiacos led by as many as 17 points during the game, but the host team narrowed the deficit in the second half before losing momentum. The quarter scores were 21-30, 44-60, 74-80, and 94-101. Both teams are now preparing for upcoming Euroleague fixtures, with Panathinaikos scheduled to play Hapoel Tel Aviv in Sofia on April 2 and Olympiacos traveling to face ASVEL in Lyon on April 3.
