Cypriot swimmers compete in multinational meets in Graz and Prague

The Cypriot national swimming team recently participated in two major international events: the Children-Youth multinational games in Graz, Austria, and the Junior multinational games in Prague, Czech Republic. In Graz, Giorgos Onisiforou secured fourth place in the 200m freestyle with a time of 2:00.26. Other notable performances in Graz included Georgia Papazacharia finishing 8th in the 800m freestyle, while Tatiana Savva recorded personal bests and top-11 placements across three breaststroke events. In Prague, Andrew Marcus Lagoutis achieved 7th place in both the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle. Additional participants in Prague included Gavriella Lympouri, Giorgos Dimitriou, Alexandros Karypidis, and Iliana Anita Chatzipanagi, who competed across various freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly distances. Officials noted that the high level of competition led many athletes to achieve new personal records. The athletes were praised for their efforts throughout the high-stakes international tournament.
