Cypriot swimmers compete in multinational meets in Austria and Czech Republic

Cypriot athletes recently participated in multinational youth swimming competitions held in Graz, Austria, and Prague, Czech Republic. Giorgos Onisiforou secured fourth place in the 200m freestyle with a time of 2.00.26 in Graz. Other notable results in Austria included Georgia Papazacharia finishing 8th in the 800m freestyle, while Tatiana Savva and Iliana Anita Chatzipanagi competed across various breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly, and backstroke events. In Prague, Andriou Markus Lagoutis achieved 7th place in both the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle. The delegation in Prague also included Gabriella Lympouri, Giorgos Dimitriou, and Alexandros Karypidis, who competed in multiple freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and individual medley events. Overall, the athletes recorded several personal bests throughout the tournaments. The competition level was reported as high, with all participants finishing outside the top three in their respective categories.
