Western Australia skies turn red during tropical cyclone Narelle

Residents of Western Australia observed a significant atmospheric phenomenon where the sky turned a deep red color as tropical cyclone Narelle approached the coast. Experts explain the red tint as a result of light scattering, where shorter blue wavelengths are filtered out by dust, leaving only longer red and orange wavelengths visible.
