Two men arrested in Limassol over rental car arson

Police in Limassol have arrested two men in connection with the malicious arson of a rental car that occurred in the early hours of March 25. The suspects, whose ages were reported as 56 and either 41 or 50 by various sources, were taken into custody following the issuance of judicial warrants. The fire, which caused extensive damage to the vehicle, broke out at approximately 5:50 a.m. The location of the incident was cited differently by various sources as either the Agios Antonios area or the Keramopoullou area in Limassol. Fire services successfully extinguished the flames, and an investigation by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) confirmed that the fire was started deliberately. Authorities are currently conducting further inquiries to determine who was in possession of the rental vehicle at the time of the incident. The suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue.
