Larnaca district court sentences 19-year-old to two years in prison for robbery

The Larnaca District Court has sentenced a 19-year-old man to two years in prison following a robbery incident. The crime occurred on March 29, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m. at a kiosk in Larnaca. According to police reports, three individuals wearing hoods entered the premises and threatened a 25-year-old employee before stealing cash from the register. Law enforcement identified the 19-year-old suspect during the investigation, leading to his arrest. The suspect was held in custody following judicial warrants issued on March 30 and April 5. The case was formally registered for trial on April 9, and the time spent in pre-trial detention will be credited toward his final sentence. The investigation was conducted by the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (TAE).
