Cyprus Classic Car Rally 48 Hours held for charity
The 21st annual '48 Hours Cyprus' charity rally, organized by the Cyprus Classic Car Club (OKAK) with ESSO/eWise as the golden sponsor, took place on March 30, 2026. Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades flagged off the event at the Arodafnousa facilities in Strovolos. The event was attended by various officials, including Cyprus Olympic Committee President Georgios Chrysostomou, Nicosia EOA President Konstantinos Yiorkatzis, and Cancer Association President Alekos Stamatis. Notable participants included Natasa Pileidou, as well as OKAK leaders Kostas Pampallis and Giorgos Georgiadis. During the competition, Giorgos Papageorgiou, a member of the Cyprus Olympic Committee Executive Board, finished third overall alongside his co-driver Linda Mousoulidou. The Cyprus Olympic Committee reiterated its support for the Anti-Cancer Society of Cyprus and thanked major sponsors including Allwyn, Eurobank, Logicom, and Petrolina for their contributions. The rally serves as a recurring initiative aimed at promoting social solidarity.
