Discover Airlines launches new flights to Larnaca Airport

Discover Airlines, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, has commenced its first operations to Cyprus, connecting Larnaca Airport with the German cities of Frankfurt and Munich. While sources provide conflicting launch dates—one citing Monday and the other Sunday, 29 March—the service expansion is confirmed by Hermes Airports. The flights are operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, featuring both Economy and Business Class cabins. Policies regarding baggage and fares are standardized with the Lufthansa Group network. Business Class passengers receive complimentary meals, drinks, and a guaranteed free middle seat, whereas Economy Class passengers receive complimentary water and can purchase additional refreshments. The airline utilizes its Onboard Cloud platform for in-flight entertainment on personal devices. This development adds Cyprus to the network of a carrier that manages over 30 aircraft serving more than 60 destinations. According to Chief Commercial Officer Marco Götz, this move aims to increase Mediterranean connectivity for German and European travelers. Maria Kouroupi of Hermes Airports stated that the new services will enhance the Lufthansa Group's presence in the region.
