Two arrested after stabbing incident in Limassol

On March 27, 2026, a 68-year-old man was injured during a confrontation between drivers in the Mesa Geitonia area of Limassol. According to police, the victim was in his parked vehicle near a bank when a verbal dispute broke out with a 22-year-old female driver. During the argument, the woman’s 56-year-old male passenger allegedly exited the vehicle and attacked the 68-year-old with a knife, causing a laceration to his abdominal wall. Some reports suggest the altercation began over the use of a car horn during a parking maneuver. The victim was treated at a local hospital and subsequently discharged. On March 28, police arrested the 22-year-old woman, who was later released and charged in writing to appear in court. The 56-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after and appeared before the District Court, which ordered his detention for three days for investigation into charges of carrying a knife and causing bodily harm. The Limassol CID is continuing its examination of the case.
