Recent criminal incidents in Limassol
Limassol police are investigating three separate criminal cases occurring between March 30 and March 31, 2026. A 40-year-old Russian businessman, who is under police protection, reported a fourth attack on his property after an unidentified motorcyclist fired approximately 16 shots at his premises. Previous attacks on his businesses included arson on luxury vehicles on November 26, 2025, and a fire at a wine shop on December 18, 2025. Separately, a 27-year-old foreign national was remanded for seven days following a stabbing of her 34-year-old estranged husband in Trachoni. The victim alleged the attack followed a dispute regarding a migration complaint. Additionally, six Iranian nationals were arrested after a violent confrontation on the Limassol coastal road, which left three people injured, including one person with gunshot wounds. Police identified the motive for the latter as a dispute over social media posts concerning the political situation in Iran. Investigations into all three cases remain ongoing with several suspects still at large.
