Recent road accidents result in multiple casualties across Cyprus

Three separate road accidents occurred in Cyprus recently, resulting in fatalities and injuries. In the Nicosia district, an 86-year-old man died after his vehicle collided with a road sign on the Analiontas-Tseri road during the early hours; authorities are investigating potential underlying health issues as the cause. In the occupied areas, a head-on collision near the village of Tavros resulted in two deaths, identified as 71-year-old Djemal Temel and 64-year-old Huseyin Nursin, while three other individuals remain hospitalized. The incident occurred when Temel's vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and struck a car driven by a 26-year-old. Separately, in Paphos, a 68-year-old driver is in critical condition following a collision on Priamou Street. His vehicle struck a car carrying a 27-year-old driver and two passengers aged 39 and 31. The 68-year-old was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for surgery and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit. Police investigations into all three incidents are ongoing.
