Fidias Panayiotou campaigns for voter registration across Cyprus

Fidias Panayiotou, Member of the European Parliament and leader of the Direct Democracy party, is currently walking across the Republic of Cyprus. The stated goal of this initiative is to encourage and assist citizens in registering for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Panayiotou has been documenting his journey via live streams and social media updates. During his tour, he entered a local club in Paralimni to inquire about voter registration status. Upon entering, he was informed by patrons that the establishment is associated with the AKEL party. Panayiotou described his visit as a spontaneous act during his walk. During the interaction, at least one patron expressed support for the politician, noting that he follows his activities. The campaign mirrors similar outreach efforts conducted by Panayiotou prior to the 2024 European elections.
