Aleksey Shpilevsky discusses approach from Cyprus national team
Current Pari NN manager Aleksey Shpilevsky, formerly of Aris Limassol, spoke to the Belarusian website betnews.by about his career. During his tenure at Aris, the 38-year-old manager was reportedly approached by third parties regarding the head coaching position of the Cyprus national team. Shpilevsky clarified that while he was contacted through intermediaries, a formal offer was never made. He stated that he was not interested in the role at the time due to his commitment to the Limassol club. Additionally, he noted that he felt too young for international management and wanted to avoid coaching against his former team. Shpilevsky remains in contact with the Aris president and former staff, though he maintains a busy schedule with his current club in the Russian Premier League.
