Mircea Lucescu hospitalized after collapsing during national team training

On Sunday, March 29, 80-year-old Romania national team head coach Mircea Lucescu collapsed during a meeting with his technical staff prior to a training session. Medical staff on-site provided immediate assistance, followed by emergency services who stabilized him before transport to a university hospital in Bucharest. Hospital reports confirm the cause was a significant cardiac arrhythmia, explicitly clarifying that the incident was not a cardiac arrest.
