Mohamed Salah to depart Liverpool at the end of the season
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has announced that he will conclude his tenure with the club at the end of the current season. The 33-year-old Egyptian international will leave the team as a free agent despite having a contract that was originally valid until the summer of 2027. The decision was made through a mutual agreement to terminate his professional engagement with the English club early. In 2023, Liverpool rejected a £150 million transfer offer from the Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad for the forward. Currently, Al-Ittihad has renewed its interest in signing the player as he prepares to transition into a supporter role for the Reds. Following the announcement, Salah posted a photo on social media showing himself reflecting on his achievements at Anfield. His departure marks the end of a nine-year period with the club.
