DIPA announces 56 parliamentary candidates for upcoming elections
On Saturday in Nicosia, the President of the Democratic Alignment (DIPA), Marios Garoyian, formally presented the party's 56 candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections. The list of candidates covers all provinces of Cyprus and includes 16 women. Garoyian described the roster as diverse, dynamic, and competitive, comprising individuals from various ideological and political backgrounds. He emphasized that the party remains committed to its vision despite political criticism and challenges. During his speech, he expressed confidence that the party will surpass current polling expectations in the elections, which are scheduled for May 24th. Garoyian framed the candidacy presentation as a response to those who have claimed the party might fail to secure a seat in parliament. The event focused on the party's goals to reform the political center and address public concerns regarding corruption and social polarization.
