Neapolis University Pafos to contribute to UNESCO World Science Report 2026
Neapolis University Pafos, through its UNESCO Chair on Human Development, Security and Fighting Transnational Crime and Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Property, has been selected to contribute to the UNESCO World Science Report 2026. This international publication, released every five years, tracks global trends in scientific research, innovation systems, and policy. Dr. Georgios Pavlidis, holder of the UNESCO Chair at the university, will serve as the Lead Coordinating Author for the regional chapter covering Europe and North America. The report is intended to support governments, international organizations, and academic institutions in developing evidence-based strategies. The previous 2021 edition reached over 200,000 downloads worldwide. This collaboration is part of the university's institutional strategy to expand its international presence and support interdisciplinary research. The project confirms the university's involvement in global governance discussions regarding science and technology.
