Fidias Panayiotou completes cross-Cyprus voter registration campaign

Cypriot Member of the European Parliament, Fidias Panayiotou, concluded a two-day initiative to encourage young people to register on the electoral rolls before the deadline of Thursday, April 2. The campaign, organized by his movement 'Direct Democracy', began on Friday in Paralimni. While the initial plan aimed for a finish in Paphos, Panayiotou ended his route in Limassol. He cited professional commitments at the European Parliament as the reason for the change in his itinerary. Throughout the journey, he traveled on foot through various villages in the Larnaca and Limassol regions. Reports indicated he was spotted near the Larnaca airport roundabout on Saturday, March 28, 2026. This initiative follows a previous similar campaign before the European elections, when he ran from Kyrenia to Larnaca. The primary objective remained increasing voter participation in the democratic process.
