Cyprus Insula exhibition opens in Brussels
The exhibition titled "Cyprus Insula – History, Memory, Reality" opened at the Gare Maritime in Brussels on March 16, 2026. Organized by the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, the event is part of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Curated by Dr. Yiannis Toumazis and Demetra Ignatiou, this adapted version of the exhibition focuses on contemporary digital media to explore Cypriot identity. It features archaeological and archival materials from institutions including the Press and Information Office, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, and the Larnaka Municipality. Additionally, the exhibition displays digital works and installations by a diverse group of artists and creators, such as Manuel Baud-Bovy, Aristea Tzanou, and others. The project aims to provide a space for critical reflection on the island's material culture, environment, and history through interactive and immersive displays.
