Television presenter Katerina Kainourgiou announces pregnancy and upcoming leave
Television presenter Katerina Kainourgiou is currently in the ninth month of her pregnancy and expecting a daughter with her partner, Panagiotis Koutsoubis. The child will be named Polyxeni-Alexandra, a name chosen to honor both her mother-in-law, Polyxeni, and her late friend, Alexandra Nikolaidou, who passed away due to cancer. On Wednesday, March 25, Kainourgiou addressed her work schedule, clarifying that her presence on the television show 'Super Katerina' is voluntary. She stated that she plans to stop working next week to rest and prepare for the birth, noting that her age of 41 influences her need for recovery. While she intends to stop approximately two weeks before the due date, she noted she would depart sooner if she experiences any discomfort. She emphasized that no pressure was applied by her employer to remain on air during this stage of her pregnancy.
