Cultural events calendar across Cyprus for April 2026
Cyprus is hosting a variety of cultural events in April 2026 leading up to Easter. The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Levan Jagachidze, is performing John Rutter's Requiem at multiple venues including the Strovolos Municipal Theatre in Nicosia, the Rialto Theatre in Limassol, and the G. Lycurgos Municipal Theatre in Larnaca. The play "Angélika Nikli Solomou, the Transparent," directed by Marina Vronti, runs at the Dentro Theatre in Nicosia on April 2, 4, 16, 17, and 18. Other notable events include a musical tribute to Dimitris Lagios by the Diastasi cultural group and a World Children’s Book Day celebration at the Attikon Multi-Arts Centre in Paphos. Additionally, Michael Cacoyannis's film "Stella" will be screened simultaneously in four provinces as part of the 2026 Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU. Several art exhibitions, including "Agropoiitiki" at SPEL and "Fluid Persistence" at NiMAC, continue throughout the month. Various markets, workshops, and concerts featuring French music or classical masterpieces are also scheduled across the island.
