Omonia Nicosia officially secured its 22nd league title after a 3-0 victory against Aris Limassol on May 2, with four matches remaining in the season. The club has amassed 77 points and is currently pursuing the historical record of 86 points set by APOEL in the 2017-18 season. Club official Andreas Demetriou praised the team's consistency and depth, noting a 16-point gap over competitors. Looking ahead, Omonia is preparing for the Champions League qualification with the aim of reaching the league phase. Despite the celebrations, the team faces squad shortages for the upcoming match against Pafos FC on May 6 due to suspensions, including Willy Semedo, Coulibaly, and Evandro. Additionally, Panagiotis Andreou is sidelined with an injury, and Nikolaos Panagiotou's status remains uncertain. The official championship trophy presentation is scheduled to take place after the match against AEK Larnaca on May 10.
