Omonia dominates scoring statistics in the current season

Omonia is experiencing a highly productive season, having recorded 63 goals during the first phase of the Cyprus League, which represents the fourth-best offensive performance since the introduction of play-offs in 2007. The team secured 45 out of 48 available points against clubs in the second group, with their only points loss occurring in the opening match against Ethnikos Achnas. Currently, Omonia players Willy Semedo and Ryan Mmaee lead the league's scoring race with 16 goals each, distancing themselves from other competitors such as Hrvoje Milicevic, Joao Correia, and Anderson Silva, who have each scored nine. While historical records show APOEL previously reached higher totals in 2015-16 and 2017-18, Omonia's current offensive output is considered significant. With nine rounds remaining, the competition for the top scorer title is expected to continue until the end of the season.
