Cyprus Red Cross and Omonia Foundation sign cooperation agreement

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the Cyprus Red Cross (K.E.S.) and the Omonia Foundation signed a memorandum of cooperation at the Red Cross administrative offices. The agreement was signed by Fotini Papadopoulou, President of the Cyprus Red Cross, and Stavros Papastavrou, President of the Omonia Foundation. The partnership includes an annual donation of €25,000 from the Omonia Foundation to the Red Cross Social Welfare Program to support vulnerable families. These families will be identified by the Omonia Foundation and approved by the Cyprus Red Cross based on humanitarian criteria. Additionally, the Omonia Foundation will provide €10,000 to support the 'Moirazomai' program, which supplies free cooked meals to low-income individuals and families. The organizations also committed to launching further social support initiatives as needs arise. The collaboration is based on the seven fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
