Cypriot Foreign Minister holds high-level meetings in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain

On March 25, 2026, Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos conducted diplomatic visits to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Manama, Bahrain. During his visit to Riyadh, Kombos met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss regional stability and bilateral strategic partnerships. In Manama, the Cypriot minister was received by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in the presence of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. During both stops, Kombos expressed Cyprus's solidarity with Saudi Arabia and Bahrain following what he described as unjustified and indiscriminate attacks in the region. He emphasized that de-escalation through dialogue and effective diplomacy is essential for maintaining regional peace and security.
