ELAM announces new candidates for upcoming parliamentary elections
On March 26, the National Popular Front (ELAM) announced the candidacy of four individuals for the upcoming parliamentary elections in May. The candidates for the Nicosia district include Pavlos Ioannou, Foivos Kyprianou, and Iakovos Platou. Pola Vassiliou-Christofidou was announced as a candidate for the Kyrenia district, although some reports initially associated her with Nicosia. Pavlos Ioannou holds degrees in economics and law, with professional experience in international development and national intelligence. Foivos Kyprianou, a businessman and author, focuses on the Cyprus issue and national identity. Iakovos Platou, a farmer from Lympia, emphasizes the support of agricultural production. Pola Vassiliou-Christofidou is a patient advocate currently working with the Pancyprian Alliance for Rare Disorders. The party stated these nominations aim to strengthen their representation across various social and economic sectors.
